Background Overview
In recent years, as air pollution in our country has become increasingly severe and the proportion of pollutants has grown heavier, the task of air pollution detection and control has also become more arduous. The state has deployed and improved particulate matter and gas detection equipment in most cities, forming a dense ground-based pollution source detection network combining national control points with provincial control points.
However, we can also clearly see that there is still a significant gap between predictions based on ground detection data from national control points and the actual development of environmental pollution. In addition, the control measures implemented based on ground monitoring data, such as ground sprinkling, covering construction sites, traffic restrictions, industrial production limits, boiler renovations, and desulfurization and denitrification treatments, have not yielded satisfactory results.
As the third-generation remote sensing technology following aerial and aerospace remote sensing, UAV remote sensing technology offers advantages such as three-dimensional monitoring, fast response, wide monitoring range, and minimal terrain interference. It is one of the important development directions for identifying pollution sources and monitoring concentrations during future atmospheric emergencies.
However, due to the limited payload of UAVs, completing high-precision atmospheric environmental monitoring work requires high-precision sensor payloads. Traditional sensors often have limited options due to restrictions on volume, weight, and other aspects. Therefore, our company has researched and developed small, lightweight sensor payloads suitable for UAV mounting to achieve UAV atmospheric pollution monitoring and fixed pollutant detection by UAVs.

The software of the ground receiving system is specially designed dedicated software for receiving, decoding, displaying, processing, and reporting the above-mentioned monitoring and detection data. It is separate from the flight control software and consists of two relatively independent software programs. When the UAV flies normally with our company's gas detection equipment, it can detect concentration values in real-time and transmit them back to the ground software for data analysis and display. It also supports synchronous data return and processing functions for multiple detectors.
The data analysis software platform mainly includes functions such as real-time data display, checking whether the detected environmental data status is normal, alarm value points, real-time data value change trends, as well as historical data query and export, all synchronized on the ground receiving system.

The software platform can display corresponding detection data and change trends in real-time. It integrates air quality gas sensor data and toxic gas emergency monitoring data into a unified platform for unified management and comprehensive display. Gas sensor data uses different colors to represent different pollution levels.

Simple statistical analysis is performed on historical monitoring data from various points, such as daily variation analysis and time series analysis, helping the purchaser save manual analysis time costs while also assisting the purchaser in understanding the basic pollution status.

Through the flight mission function, the Besiyun monitoring platform can specifically display the flight route and real-time concentration values during the flight. It displays via real-time updates and pollution concentration levels, and is also compatible with synchronous gimbal display, achieving synchronous display of data and video.
1 System Structure and Working Principle
This system mainly consists of unmanned aerial vehicles, Besian BSA/QT-UAV gas detectors, data transmission/GPRS, ground stations/servers, and data processing software. It is primarily used for detecting atmospheric air quality AQI and emergency detection of toxic and harmful gases, with an accuracy of up to 1PPB. It changes the traditional fixed-point detection, making gas detection flexible, fast, accurate, and convenient.
